The Forbes Pigment Collection began at the turn of the 20th century, and today contains more than 2,500 pigments. It is the world’s largest collection of historical pigments. Alison Cariens works closely with the collection and it’s associated collection, the Gettens Collection of Binders and Media. The lecture will share with you the history and significance of the collection as well as provide an in-depth look at some of our most intriguing samples.
