As a collector and decorator, Henry Francis du Pont’s unique talent was his ability to arrange his extraordinary collection of antiques in beautiful room settings. Du Pont paid particular attention to window treatments and changed them seasonally to reflect the changing colors in his beloved garden.  The lecture discusses du Pont as one of the early leaders of American decoration; how he designed and selected his antique textiles in relation to the architecture and decorative elements in rooms and how his extraordinary taste and eye influences interior design today.
